Connecting

Large Group Opportunities

At Wintonbury, we love to just get together and hang out! Sure, Sunday services are great and lots of us connect over coffee and pastries between services, but sometimes we just want to have fun. Sound interesting? Consider joining us at our Church Picnic in June, our Annual Retreat at Lakeside Camp on Labor Day Weekend, the Missions Conference in October or the February Frostbusters Pot-luck and Game Night. Keep your eyes and ears open for more information about these and other events throughout the year.

Small Groups

In addition to the various ways we connect in large groups, Wintonbury also has an active Small Group Ministry. In our Small Groups, people will find a regular gathering of approximately 8 – 12 people who work to build loving relationships, encourage spiritual growth and serve others together in Christ.

Small Groups provide:

  • The primary way to ensure that you are loved and have a chance to love others at Wintonbury (John 13:34)
  • A way to make and nurture friendships at a deeper level (1 Peter 1:22)
  • Ongoing encouragement and accountability for spiritual growth (Hebrews 10:24-25)
  • Distrubution of the leadership load, to ensure adequate care for everyone (Exodus 18:18)

Small Groups all maintain varying balances of the following key elements:

  • Loving
  • Learning
  • Serving
  • Reaching Out
