Wintonbury believes strongly that the local church is charged with equipping God's people for works of kingdom service. To that end, we have three "schools" geared toward advanced ministry training:
Wintonbury School of Discipleship Counseling (WSDC)
WSDC is a three year course for women only that is designed to shepherd/assist women to understand who they are in Christ, to help them establish their freedom in Christ and to equip them to share their freedom in Christ as they disciple other women. Class sizes are kept small and are by invitation only after prayerful consideration by the leadership of Wintonbury and the ministry leaders.
Wintonbury School of Ministry (WSOM)
The goal of WSOM is reflected in its mission statement: Training Christ's followers in skilled servant work. WSOM is an opportunity to get some equipping right here at Wintonbury. Training by the church, for the church, in the church. Components of the three year program include: Coursework, Training, Mentoring and Practical Service. A new group of students begins the school each year. Note that WSOM does not offer degrees program but certificates of commissioning at Wintonbury. Bethel Seminary of the East (BSOE)
Our denominational seminary, BSOE, is located in Worcester, Massachusetts and offers a full array of degree programs for vocational ministry training. Wintonbury is a strategic partner with BSOE and, as such, offers a 30% tuition discount to all Wintonbury regular attenders who are accepted into BSOE. All BSOE students will take classes in Worcester once a week but will do practical internships and receive mentoring at Wintonbury.
