W.E.Y. (Wintonbury Extreme Youth) is for Jr. High (7-8 grades) and Sr. High (9-12 grades) students.
Ignite
A worship service including an extended time of corporate worship, a Gospel Centered message and communion. It is designed for Sr. High students and their families, however, it is open to Jr. High students who are able to sit throught the service without causing a destraction. Ignite occures once every once every six Sundays. Check the Sr. Hgih schedule below to find out the exact dates.
Eat and Hang Out
This event is exactly what it sounds like: we get together to eat dinner and then hang out afterwards! Jr. High Eat and Hang Out occures once every four Tuesdays and Sr. High Eat and Hang Out occures once every once every six Sundays. Check the schedules below to find out the exact dates.
Sr. High Discipleship Groups (D-Groups)
These small groups are designed for youth who have accepted the gospel and desire to learn more about following Christ. They usually consist of students in the same grade and meet together with at lease one adult leader on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 8:30.
Jr. High Discipleship Groups (D-Groups)
We meet together to take a deep look at the Gospel with the goal of seeing students transformed by its truth. We meet Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm at the church.
Events/Fun Activities/Retreats
In addition to the above mentioned regular events we also hold or attend the following events through out the year: 30 Hour Famine, Fall D-Group Retreats, Winter Large Group Retreats, Christmas Parties
*All WEY volunteers are carefully screened through an application and interview process; they also must agree to and pass a criminal background check before working with our youth.
