InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

KYLE and DANIELLE VAN ETTEN have served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship since 2012. InterVarsity is a campus community that helps students and faculty follow Jesus with their whole lives, for the rest of their lives. Danielle stepped off staff in July 2025 to focus on local ministry within their family, neighborhood, and church community, while Kyle continues on staff in a national role.

Kyle’s Role: Senior GAPS Coach for the Eastern US

Kyle focuses on resourcing, coaching, and equipping InterVarsity staff through alumni development and post-college transitions. "GAPS" represents the invitation for alumni to continue partnering with InterVarsity through Giving, Advocating, Praying, and Serving.

Practical Responsibilities & Ministry Impact

  • Equipping for Transitions: Coaching staff to disciple graduating students through the major life transition out of college, helping them step into life after graduation equipped to thrive.

  • Cultivating Alumni Partnerships: Resourcing staff to build meaningful, long-term partnerships with alumni while fostering biblical stewardship and generosity.

  • Sustaining Campus Ministry: Building financial stability across chapter and staff accounts so on-campus staff are sustainably resourced, allowing them to keep their primary focus on discipling students and sharing the gospel.

  • For Recent Alumni: Pray for alumni navigating the difficult first few years post-college—that they would thrive in their faith and learn the joy of kingdom generosity early on, becoming faithful partners who sustain future campus ministry.

  • For Danielle: Pray for discernment and grace for Danielle in this season off staff, as she leads out in local ministry through their family, neighborhood, and church community.

  • For Kyle’s Leadership & Strategy: Pray for wisdom for Kyle as he serves as Senior GAPS Coach, equipping staff and building out creative alumni development initiatives (like the ACE project) across the Eastern US.

  • For Ministry Support: Pray for Kyle and his team as they raise their own ministry budgets, asking God to bridge financial gaps so staff can be sustainably resourced for the long haul.
