COTE D'IVOIRE
STEVE and CAROL SMITH have been serving in Côte d’Ivoire (The Ivory Coast) with Converge Worldwide for over 30 years. As a previous Associate Pastor at Wintonbury, Steve and his wife Carol are very much a part of the Wintonbury family. Their ministry in Côte d’Ivoire offers many challenges, one of which is the political instability and resulting violence which endangers the Smith's and the community that they deeply love. The Smiths ministry includes three key areas:
Health: strategic use of compassion ministries through El Rapha Health Center and the Community Extension Program
Harvest: training nationals as pioneer missionaries in order to plant multiplying churches among unreached peoples
Hearts: renewing hearts of leaders in the joy of knowing Jesus

Please ask God:
to teach the Smiths to better learn how to be broken, helpless people who need Jesus every day and rejoice in knowing and serving Him
for wisdom and skill as the Smiths develop national leaders and missionaries in various ministries
for reconciliation and peace in Côte d’Ivoire events
